Advances in Social Choice
Professor Nicolas Gabriel Andjiga has made notable contributions to social choice theory, particularly in the characterization of Condorcet-consistent voting rules. His research develops axiomatic frameworks that enhance the understanding of collective preferences, providing robust tools for analyzing fairness and consistency in group decision-making processes.
Innovations in Cooperative Game
In cooperative game theory, Professor Andjiga introduced the equal-surplus Shapley value for chance-constrained games. This novel approach offers a two-stage value allocation method, improving fairness and efficiency in resource distribution among players.
Contributions to Combinatorial Geometry
Professor Andjiga's research extends to combinatorial geometry, where he provided a direct proof of Ehrhart’s extended conjecture. This work advances the field by offering new insights into the enumeration of integer solutions to systems of linear inequalities.
